The Covenant Stone

This piece is an approximately 1 to 6 scale model of the “hole Stone,” a 6-foot high stones containing a fist-sized hole near the top that was found in Ireland in 1791. The “Hole Stone” is said to have mystical powers and to be the center of romance and love. It has attracted visitors seeking eternal love and happiness since Drued times. Upon reaching the Holestone couples must undertake a traditional ceremony as practiced for the past 200 years. The stone will admit only female hands, so the woman reaches through the circular hole; her partner takes it, thus love is pledged forever.
