Floe Edge (Sold)
$1,495.00
The Polar Bear commonly feeds on marine mammals at the edge of the ice floes that are ever-present in the Arctic seas. The Polar Bear, being such a significant part of Arctic life, is a very common theme in Inuit carvings and is perhaps the most well-known of all Arctic icons. The white alabaster base used in this piece to represent the ice floe is from the famous mines in Alabaster, Michigan.
