Juno’s Wing (Sold)
Moose horn is an excellent carving material, but most of it is hollow. The stump that attaches it to the head is solid bone and is much like ivory. The Black Walnut log is from a tree cut in a friend’s woods and the limestone was once part of a Michigan fireplace. Moose are only found in the lower wooded regions of the Arctic, but are absent in the tundra regions of the High Arctic, where the dominant large herbivore is the Caribou.
